(Lewis) Volunteers worldwide will count birds they see for at least 15 minutes on one or more days of the count, starting from February 14 through February 17. The bird watchers will enter their checklists at birdcount.org.
Lora Kanning, a Naturalist with the Cass County Conservation Board, says anyone with internet access can participate, no matter their skill level. She says it is a great family event.
Kanning says folks wanting more information on how to participate can attend presentations at the Anita Public Library today at 2:30 p.m. or the Lewis Public Library on Wednesday, February 12, at 3:00 p.m. Or call the Cass County Conservation Board at 712-769-2372 and receive everything you need in the mail, or pick it up at the office, or go to the website: www.birdcount.org, and follow the instructions.
