(Washington D.C.) On Wednesday, during a Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship hearing regarding the nomination of Kelly Loeffler as the Small Business Administration (SBA) administrator, Iowa Senator Joni Ernst emphasized the need for reform within the agency. Senator Ernst asked Ms. Loeffler what the future of the SBA would look like under her leadership.
Loeffler says she looks forward to working with the entire committee on restoring the Small Business Administration to serve small businesses and support economic growth in this country.
Loeffler says they will do that, in addition to making sure the programs are working for small businesses and taxpayers.
Loeffler said another goal of hers would be to get this agency back to work. She stated her gratitude to President Trump’s “Return To Work” Executive Order.
Kelly Loeffler is an American businesswoman and politician who served as a United States senator from Georgia from 2020 to 2021. On December 5, 2024, President Trump announced Loeffler as the presumptive nominee for the Administrator of the Small Business Administration.
