(Atlantic) The Atlantic girls’ basketball team carries a three-game winning streak into tonight’s Hawkeye Ten Conference matchup at home against Clarinda. The Trojans have won three out of their last four games and enter the contest with an (8-4) overall record.
Atlantic Head Coach Dan Vargason says the game against Clarinda (5-6) will be a battle despite the Cardinals’ three straight losses. Atlantic won the first meeting at Clarinda, 55-44.
Atlantic is led in scoring by Paytn Harter, who averages 16.33 points per game, Makenna Schroeder, 11.17, and Katrina Williams, 10.25. The Trojans average 54.5 points per game.
Clarinda averages 48.00 per game, led by Maddie Cole, who scores 9.64; Kylie Meier, who scores 8.64; Addison Wagoner, who scores 8.30; and Carsen Wellhausen, who scores 8.18.
