(Guthrie Center, IA) — The Guthrie County Public Health are working on a number of different projects. At the last Board of Supervisors meeting, Director Jotham Arbor says that they will be working on a campaign this winter to boost people’s immune systems
Arbor also says the county continues to offer flu shots and covid booster shots to county residents free of charge
Arbor also says they will be doing some training on a new beacon system in Guthrie County
And Arbor continues to work on improving the access of county residents to mental health services. They will be hiring a new social worker in conjunction with the local hospital and Arbor believes eventually the program will pay for itself
When all is said and done, Arbor says, the region will have four different locations for mental health in Guthrie Center, Audubon, Exira and Stuart.
