(Atlantic) Nishna Valley Family YMCA Executive Director Dan Haynes relayed some good news to the Atlantic City Council on Wednesday night. Haynes congratulated the City Council and Mayor because the City will pay off the Recreation Center Facility note this month.
Audio PlayerHaynes mentioned several Vision Atlantic projects on the horizon, including expanding the YMCA building or recreation center. Along with $6.4 million of grant front funds from the Lakin Foundation for the YMCA rec center renovation and expansion, Haynes says the Local Option Sales Tax funds were used to pay off the note on the current facility.
Audio PlayerThe facility celebrated 20 years this past February. Its growth is impressive, with a starting budget of $75,000 to $3 million today.
