(Des Moines, IA) — The unemployment rate is slightly up in Iowa, after staying the same for four months.
Iowa Workforce Development Director, Beth Townsend. She says now that the election is over, she’s hoping to see employers start hiring again.
Townsend says manufacturing jobs saw some losses in Iowa after layoffs at large companies. Retail and hospitality jobs saw some gains.
