(Atlantic) The Atlantic Chamber Ambassadors were hosted by the Atlantic Golf & Country Club on Thursday, October 3rd, 2024. The Ambassadors helped welcome Derrick Sears as the new General Manager.
Derrick is originally from Maryville, Missouri and moved to Atlantic with his family in 2019. Since coming to Atlantic, Derrick has worked in tech and sales, but he has always dreamed of having a career in the golf industry and when the Country Club General Manager position came available, Derrick new it would be a good fit.
Derrick has enjoyed learning from long-time General Manager, Sheryl Dusenberry, and looks forward to implementing new improvements to the Country Club through the strategic plan set in motion by the Board of Directors. Derrick, along-side the Board Members, are looking to add an indoor golf simulator to encourage the members to use the Clubhouse restaurant and dining area during the winter months.
The Atlantic Golf & Country Club features an 18-hole golf course, restaurant, and seasonal pool. The Club is featuring special membership deals in honor of Derrick coming on board. Off-season Clubhouse hours are Tuesdays: 3:30 PM to Close; Wednesdays: 1:00pm to Close; Thursdays: 9:00 AM to Noon and 3:30 PM to Close; Fridays: 3:30 PM to Close; Saturdays: 12:00 PM-5:00 PM.
