(Atlantic) The Atlantic Police Department posted on social media late Tuesday afternoon that an individual responsible for damaging the fence at Atlantic Little League Park reached out to the APD and took responsibility for their actions.
Atlantic Police Chief Devan Hogue says the APD will work with them and the Little League board to resolve the issue. The Atlantic Police Department thanks the public for sharing and helping spread the word on the damage.
Background Story:
One of the fences at the Atlantic Little League complex was damaged on Saturday evening. Although a poor choice was made to “spin cookies” in the parking lot, Police believed the damage was accidental.
We understand that accidents happen and ask the person responsible to come forward. The APD obtained videos of the vehicle and enhanced them for better identification.
We would rather ask the parties responsible to come forward and work with the Little League board to fix the damage. However, if we find the responsible party through investigation, we will pursue charges.
Cass County Crime Stoppers offered a $200 reward for information leading to charges in this case.
