(Lincoln, NE) — Nebraska has fallen out of the top 25 after last Friday’s 31-24 loss to Illinois in overtime. The Huskers had shut down the Illini running game in the first half and had a 17-10 lead at the half but could not build on that in the second half. Head Coach Matt Ruhle says Nebraska didn’t adjust to Illinois’ adjustments
Freshman QB Dylay Raiola was not the reason why Nebraska lost — 24 of 35 passing for 297 yards, 3 TD and 1 INT. He was sacked six times so the protection needs to improve but Rhule says Raiola was on point
The Huskers are now 3-1; this Saturday they travel to Purdue to face the 1-2 Boilermakers. Game time 11:00 am, it will be televised online on the Peacock network.
