(Sioux City, IA) — Schools in Sioux Center and neighboring Hull, Rock Valley, and Orange City were locked down after a threatening message was found on a bathroom wall at Sioux Center High School. This is according to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office. The district said in a social media post the threat was believed to be resolved, and classes would continue as usual going forward, but that law enforcement would be present for the time being for reassurance. Metro High School in Cedar Rapids was also placed on lockdown yesterday morning as a precaution after shots were reported coming from a car traveling a few blocks south of the school.
