(Guthrie Center, IA) — ACGC football was one touchdown away from the Dome a year ago so Head Coach Cody Matthewson is motivated for this season.
The Chargers are ranked #3 in Class A and return starting quarterback Jathan South and fullback Mike Fuller, both 1,000 yard rushers last year. ACGC does lose two running backs including Anthony Solorzano, another 1,000 yard rusher and Nate Chance. Head Coach Cody Matthewson says Joe Crawford will move into one of those spots and the other is a three man rotation which sits just fine with one of the guys
Many of the ACGC players go both ways including Fuller who was a first team All District Defensive End despite having just 11 tackles but Matthewson says he is a dude
ACGC has 26 wins in the last three seasons but has yet to taste the turf at the Dome; Matthewson says its no secret to success, just keeping it simple
