(Anita, IA) — It will be new co coaches for the CAM volleyball team this season, Ethan Wessling and Hilary Zimmerline are both CAM alumni and they come into a strong team that went an impressive 26-10 a year ago.
The new coaches will have reload a little bit with six senior starters graduating including Eva Steffenson (374 kills) one of the better hitters in the Rolling Valley. Wessling does have Setter Courtney Follman (653 assists and 209 digs) back as a starter who put up great numbers a year ago
The Cougars did get Maddie Richter (60 kills, 243 assists, 167 digs, 17 aces) a transfer from Atlantic that will be an instant starter for CAM and will switch to outside hitter from her setter spot for the Trojans. Sophomore Ruthie Rich should be on the other side of the net. On defense, Wessling says there are several players that will contribute on the back line
Overall, Wessling wants to see his alma mater continue to be strong on the volleyball court and one thing he is stressing more than anything is the girls talking to one another
CAM opens their volleyball season on Saturday, August 31 at a tournament hosted by AHSTW.
