John Paul Oberholtz, 67, of Adair passed away, Monday, July 8, 2024 at The New Homestead Care Center in Guthrie Center.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 12, 2024, at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Adair with Pastor Jenny Knutter officiating. Burial will follow at the Dalmanutha Cemetery in rural Casey. A luncheon will be held at the Adair Community Building following the burial.
Visitation with the family will be from 9:00 a.m. to time of service at the funeral home.

John Paul Oberholtz the son of Charles and Violet (Gittins) Oberholtz was born on March 6, 1957. He graduated from Adair Casey High School with the Class of 1976.
John worked for Slayton Farms, Glacier in Atlantic and operated his own junking business.
John is survived by his sons, Trevor (Mindy) Oberholtz of Rapid City, South Dakota and Tyler Oberholtz (Amanda Vinyard) of Norman, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Alora, Alec, Preston and Meadow; sister, Gloria “Gaye” (Doug) Beckman of Carroll; brothers: Bob (Roxy) Oberholtz of Guthrie Center, Jim (Gwen) Oberholtz of Casey, David (Marcene) Oberholtz of De Soto and Lyle Oberholtz of Fort Dodge and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding John in death were his parents, Charles and Violet, brother; Steve Oberholtz and step-mother, Lavancha.
