Philip Edwin Daringer the son of Philip Edwin & Marjorie P. Daringer was born November 26, 1929 at Coshocton, Ohio. Phil attended grade school at Orange Ohio. After high school he enlisted in the army. He served from 1948 to 1952 and was trained as a teletype operator and was awarded the Berlin airlift device humane action metal along with a good conduct metal. After his service he met and married Joyce Ann Dent on March 8, 1953. They were married at the Harlan church of Christ. Phil and Joyce began farming around Rabbit Hollow and the Jacksonville area.
Phil loved to fly. He was in the Civil Air Patrol and was an active member of the 8 Ball Aviation Club and was involved with aerial photography. Phil always made time to plan a fishing trip with his family to Minnesota each year. Phil worked hard all of his life. He was a carpenter, farmer, a fuel delivery truck driver, and worked for SWITTA as a bus driver later on in his life. Phil volunteered his time and resources in helping his family, working in the carpenter shop at Greenridge, helping his awesome neighbors, and leading multiple projects at the Redline church of Christ where he was an Elder for many years.
Phil passed away April 27, 2024. He was proceeded in death by his wife of 70 years, Joyce; parents Philip and Marjorie Daringer; his daughter Phyllis; and his brother Leon Daringer.
He is survived by his sons Doug (Linda) Daringer of Harlan; Myron (Kimberly) Daringer of Ames; Craig (Terri) Daringer of Persia; Phil (Staci) Daringer of Thousand Oaks, CA.; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and brothers, Richard Daringer and Robert Daringer both of Ohio.
