(Atlantic) The Atlantic School Board led off Wednesday night’s work session with a self-evaluation. Three action items followed the discussion: a salary increase for interim school superintendent Dr. Beth Johnsen, tree removal, and new windows at the Achievement Center.
The School Board approved a six-percent salary increase for Dr. Johnsen, who will begin her second year of a two-year contract. The six percent is the same as the district staff members.
The School Board also approved Miner’s Tree Service’s bid of $14,950.00 to remove 34 trees on school grounds. The Contract calls for the removal of the trees and refilling the holes.
The Board also approved Atlantic Glass’s bid of 34,600.00 for a windows project at the achievement center. The project includes 14 fixed and 11 casements. The school district received a grant for this project.
