(Griswold) The Griswold Tigers secured a spot in the Corner Conference Tournament Championship with a decisive 10-0 win over Stanton at home on Thursday night.
Karly Millikan delivered a strong performance in the circle for Griswold, allowing no runs on one hit, striking out nine, and issuing no walks.
The Tigers amassed ten runs on 11 hits, with Dakota Reynolds leading the offense with a perfect 4-4 performance at the plate, including a double, three singles, a stolen base, three RBIs, and one run scored. Marissa Askeland contributed two hits, including a three-RBI home run in the second inning, bringing her total RBIs to five. Additionally, she stole a base and scored once.
Karly Millikan also reached a milestone, securing her 100th career hit with a two-RBI walk-off double in the bottom of the fifth. Whitney Pennock, Abby Gohlinghorst, Addison Adams, and Kate Tischer each added one hit to the Tigers’ tally. Gohlinghorst crossed the plate three times, while Tischer scored twice.
