(Area) Tuesday is Primary Election Day in Iowa. Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday. Voters may still vote absentee in-person at your County Auditor’s Office through the end of regular business hours today.
The following County candidates are on the ballots in southwest Iowa
Adair County: On the Republican ballot, Matt Wedemeyer for Supervisor District 1; Jerry Walker for Supervisor District 3; Michael Christoffersen for Supervisor District 5; Jeffrey L. Vandewater for Sheriff; Mandy Berg for Auditor; and Kelly Mitchell for Recorder. There are no Democratic candidates.
Adams County: On the Republican ballot, Tony Hardisty for Supervisor District 2; Christopher Standley for Supervisor District 5; Becky Bissell for Auditor; and Alan Johannes for Sheriff. There are no Democratic candidates.
Audubon County: On the Republican ballot, Kent Grabill and Donald J. Mosinski are running for the two Board of Supervisors seats; Lisa Frederiksen for Auditor; and Todd W. Johnson for Sheriff. On the Democratic ballot, Nathan Wahlert for Board of Supervisors.
Cass County: On the Republican ballot, John Westering for Sheriff; Kathy Somers for Auditor; Steve Baier for Supervisor District 4; Stephen S Green for Supervisor District 1; and there is a race for Supervisor District 5 between Bernard Pettinger and J Ford Lillard. On the Democratic ballot, Phyllis Stakey for Supervisor District 5.
Guthrie County: On the Republican ballot, Brian E. Johnson for Supervisor District 2; Mike Dickson for Supervisor District 5; Dani Fink for Auditor; and Matt Harmann for Sheriff. On the Democratic ballot, Marty Arganbright for Sheriff.
Montgomery County: On the Republican ballot, Jon D. Spunaugle for Sheriff; Jill Ozuna for Auditor; there is a race for Supervisor District 5 between Alex Burton and Jill Cooper; and there is a race for Supervisor District 3 between Bryant Amos and Randy Cooper. There are no Democratic candidates.
Pottawattamie County: On the Republican ballot, Andy Brown for Sheriff; there is a race for Auditor between Mary Ann Hanusa and Melvyn J. Houser; there is a race for two Supervisor seats between Karis Crilly, Adam Houser, Charlie Johnson, Brian Shea and Tim Wichman. There are no Democratic candidates.
Shelby County: On the Republican ballot, Neil W. Gross for Sheriff; there is a race for Auditor between Melissa Arkfeld and Taryn Knapp; there is a race for two Supervisor seats between Alexis Carter, Mike Kolbe and Charles Parkhurst. There are no Democratic candidates.
