(Atlantic) The Atlantic Chamber Ambassadors were hosted by Akin Building Center on Thursday, May 23rd, 2024. The Ambassadors gathered to welcome the new store manager, Randy DeSpain, and hear his vision for the Atlantic location.
Randy previously worked in Ames, Iowa working in a corporate setting, before transitioning to remodeling and constructing homes. After many years in construction, Randy decided to branch out to different opportunities which led him to find Akin Building Center in Atlantic. This position allowed him to be closer to his family and be more engaged in their lives. Randy also looks forward to being more involved in the community and building relationships with customers.
Akin Building Center is a lumber and hardware store that has been a part of Southwest Iowa since 1927. Over the years, the company has built a reputation of exceptional customer service, high-quality products, and expert knowledge. Randy hopes to create an environment of helping customers be more productive through the business’s daily operations and serve as a place for accurate and reliable information.
