(Maryville, MO) – Northwest Missouri State’s Lillie Filger and Skylar Pieper have been named to All-MIAA honors after being selected to the All-MIAA teams. The two Bearcats were the most dominant players this season and helped to push the pace with the team’s 28-24 record.
Starting with Lillie Filger, she was named to second-team All-MIAA after sitting second in the conference in batting average at .439 and in hits with 79. Not only does she have top rankings in hits, she also put up 25 multi-hit games that included ten games with three or more hits. The Missouri native ranks number nine in the MIAA in on-base percentage at .466.
On the other side, Skylar Pieper was named to honorable mention honors after being one of the top first basemen in the MIAA. The Nebraska native has a total of 15 multi-hit games with a .310 batting average on 48 hits and 23 RBIs.
While the regular season is over, the postseason continues as the Bearcats are taking on Washburn in the quarterfinals of the MIAA Tournament.
