(St. Louis, MO) – Drake Bulldog Savannah Ming has been named one of the twelve State Farm Good Neighbor Award winners for the Missouri Valley Conference. This comes after her community service in the Des Moines community.
Ming assisted with tours and the question and answer panels at the Des Moines Public School System, volunteered with the Genesis Foundation, took advantage of multiple opportunities at the Ladylike DSM Conference, and helped at the Jim Duncan High School Track and Field Meet hosted at Drake. On top of all this volunteer work, Mind still finds some time to help with the Drake recreation services and is part of the Delta Sigman Theta Sorority while running on the track and field team.
To earn this top award, the student-athlete must demonstrate good sportsmanship, must participate in their respective sport, and have good academic standing.
