(Des Moines, IA) – The Drake Relays saw a number of NCAA records broken or even season records tied this season. Nebraska’s Tyus Wilson was able to tie for first in the NCAA in the high jump.
The Sterling, Kansas native was able to jump 7’5″ in the high jump or 2.26 meters. That jump could have gone over that of one of the tallest NBA players which only tied for first in the NCAA. Not only did he win the title in the Drake Relays, he was able to move up to fifth in school history.
Wilson’s jump was close to breaking the Drake Relays record. Husker Reid Nelson also jumped 6’11” to take fourth in the high jump overall.
Nebraska will resume back to action on May 3rd when they travel to Wichita State at 1:30 p.m.
