(Tabor, IA) – At Fremont-Mills High School on Tuesday night, the AHSTW Boy’s track and field team was able to earn a team victory with 169 total points. The Vikings featured a total of six individual first-place finalists and three team events also came in first place overall on the evening.

Taking a deep dive at the results for AHSTW, leading things off with the results is Luke Sternberg who finished first in the 400-meter dash. Collin Harder took away two first-place finishes in both the 1600-meter run and the 3200-meter run while beating his opponents by over 15 seconds in each event. Gavin Newcomb was able to push the pace on his side in the 110-meter hurdles while earning first overall. In the discus, AHSTW’s Jett Peterson was able to win the discus overall by beating the second-place finisher by almost 10 feet.
In the team events, AHSTW was able to earn first overall in the 4×100-meter relay, first in the 4×800-meter relay, and first in the 800-meter sprint medley.
Other top finishers on the night were Caleb Hatch earning second in the 100-meter dash, Luke Sternberg earned second in the 200-meter dash, and Nick Denning earned second in the 400-meter hurdles while also finishing third in the 400-meter dash.
