(Ames, IA) – The Iowa State Cyclones women’s basketball team has announced that they’ve received commitments from Lilly Taulelei from UMass and Lily Hansford from Oregon State. They will be on the Cyclones side of the floor for Head Coach Bill Fennelly for the 2024-25 season.
Lily Hansford will be transferring to Iowa State from Oregon State to play with the Cyclones next season. She will be coming back closer to her hometown of Green Bay, Wisconsin after starting in just two games over the course of two seasons for the Beavers. While playing at Oregon State, she averaged 5.1 points and shot 44.9% from the field.
Lilly Taulelei is transferring from UMass to play for the Iowa State Cyclones. Just last season, she averaged 6.7 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game in her collegiate career. While playing for Massachusetts, she shot 45% from the field and was one of the top players in field goal percentage for the Minutewomen.
Both Lilly and Lily will be joining Bill Fennelly and his squad of top freshmen next season which includes two other transfers, TCU’s Sydney Harris and Marquette’s Kenzie Hare.
