(Undated) — Experts say this summer will bring record-breaking travel numbers. Going.com spokesperson Katy Nastro said the nearly five billion people expected to travel around the world this summer is unprecedented.
“2023 was really our test case of ‘are we sort of back to normal’ and travel is definitely back and it is significantly more so than we saw pre-pandemic,” said Nastro.
In the United States, over 90-percent of Americans say they plan to take a trip, with half saying they plan to travel internationally. Despite this, many airlines have slowed their operations due to uncertainty around Boeing planes after the company’s problems.
Nastro said while many aren’t sure there will be enough flights, travelers shouldn’t be worried about not getting a ticket.
“We actually have more flights on the schedule, as well as more seats available, so this is actually a good thing and good news for travelers,” stated Nastro.
