(Maryville, MO) – Northwest Missouri State’s Luisarys Toledo has been named the MIAA Co-Women’s Track Athlete of the Week. She earned the honor from her performance in Texas over the weekend, sharing the honor with Pittsburg State’s Kate Dawson.
The sophomore was part of two NCAA times as she competed in both the Texas Relays and the Bobcat Invitational in Texas this past week. She posted a long jump of 19′ – 10.75″ at the Bobcat Invitational while running as the second leg of the 4×400-meter relay with a team time of 3:37.78. Her long jump ranks sixth-best in the nation this season.
This is the fifth MIAA Athlete of the Week honor for Toledo. She previously won the award three times in the indoor season and once in the outdoor season.
