(Lewis) The Turkey season opens next month, and according to a recent brood survey, most of Iowa will have higher numbers this season. The survey follows last year’s record breaking 11,933 birds harvested in state.
John Lorensen, from the DNR Office in Lewis, appearing on the DNR report on Saturday, says things are looking up this season.
The first Turkey season opens on April 8.
