(Lewis) Warmer temperatures start next week, meaning ice conditions are changing for some frozen waters across southwest Iowa lakes and ponds. Lewis Bruce, a research biologist with the Iowa DNR in southwest Iowa, says the type of ice matters.
Lewis Bruce says areas around inlets and outlets may have thinner ice.
He says snow drifts will slow ice accumulation. Bruce says to tell someone where you will be fishing and when you will be home.
