(Atlantic) Atlantic School’s Facilities Director Russell Peck told the School Board this week that at some point they are going to have to address all of their ash trees.
The School Board agreed to have Peck look into the costs to have them taken down. Peck said his crew would be able to take some of the smaller ones down themselves.
During his annual update on operations and maintenance of facilities, Peck noted that they did some of the usual tuck-pointing at the Middle School. He said that will probably continue about every year for awhile because of the nature of the building. He said they also did some carpeting and painting in a few of the classrooms throughout the District.
Peck also noted that they got a good deal on a used maintenance truck and got a bigger sander to put on the back of the truck, and he got a good deal on another snowblower as well.
