(Council Bluffs) A male pedestrian died when he was struck by a vehicle in Council Bluffs.
Police say the accident happened at approximately 3:21 a.m. today near the intersection of Poplar Dr. and Birch Street. Authorities say a 74-year-old man was near a vehicle on the street when a passing vehicle struck him.
The man was deceased at the scene. The female driver was uninjured.
The intersection is closed. This incident is in the early stages of the investigation. Authorities are withholding the names at this time.
