(Villisca) A Villisca man was arrested for Attempted Burglary and other charges.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office says at around 10:30 p.m. Friday, Deputies were called to the 100 block of 4th Avenue in Villisca for a male that was possibly trying to break into a residence. Deputies arrived on scene and searched the area, but were unable to locate anyone at that time. At 11:12 p.m., Deputies were called to the 100 block of N 5th Avenue for a male fitting the same description trying to make entry into another house. Deputies arrived shortly after and located the male hiding under a porch.
Gary Allen Honeyman, 40, was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail where he was charged with Attempted Burglary 2nd Degree, Public Intoxication, and Criminal Mischief 5th Degree. Bond was set at $5,000.
