(Undated) Iowa and Iowa State marching bands are two of five finalists in Metallica’s first “For Whom the Band Tolls” competition. The University of Iowa Marching Band performed its Metallica show on September 30th in Kinnick Stadium, while the Iowa State Marching Band performed its Metallica show in Trice Stadium on September 23rd. Both performances consisted of the bands playing Metallica’s best hits. The winner of the competition will be declared early next month.
