(Story County) Law enforcement is looking for a missing Ames girl. Five-year-old Avery Lydia Doherty is believed to be with her non-custodial mother, Esther Bender. She weighs 45 pounds, standing four-foot-five with white and blonde hair and blue eyes. The Iowa Department of Public Safety says she was reported missing about two months ago. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Missing Person Information Clearinghouse Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.
