(Dawson) An Audubon County man died in a motorcycle/pickup truck accident west of Dawson.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened around 1:30 p.m. on Highway 141 and C Avenue. Authorities say 56-year-old Daniel Royce Beattie of Audubon died in the crash.
According to the report, a westbound 2017 Dodge Ram pickup driven by 64-year-old Gary Bugger of Boone attempted a left turn onto C Avenue. The pickup turned into the path of an eastbound 2010 BMW motorcycle operated by Beattie. Beattie was ejected from the motorcycle and died at the scene.
The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office, Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office, and the Dallas County Medical Examiner assisted the Iowa State Patrol at the scene.
