(Guthrie Co) Two people were transported to the hospital following a two-vehicle accident in Guthrie County Wednesday afternoon.
The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office says 57-year-old James Klemish, of Adair, was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado K1500 eastbound on White Pole Road and attempted to turn left into a driveway. Klemish failed to yield and was side-swiped by a 2011 Ford Focus, driven by 81-year-old Helen Ernst of Adair.
Helen Ernst was transported to the Guthrie County Hospital by Stuart EMS. A passenger in Ernst’s vehicle, 90-year-old Marilyn Stephenson of Adair, was transported to Des Moines Methodist by Adair EMS.
Klemish was cited for Failure to Yield Upon Left Turn.
