(Des Moines) Nineteen state attorneys general, including Iowa A-G Brenna Bird, are calling on the Biden Administration to reject a proposal about LGBTQ kids in foster care. The federal rule would require all child welfare agencies to place LGBTQ+ children in foster homes that complete training on how to treat kids according to their sexual orientation or gender identity. In a letter to President Joe Biden, Bird calls the proposal unconstitutional and says the policy would push parents out of the foster care system.
