(Creston) One person suffered injuries in a two-vehicle accident in Union County.
The Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened on Sunday on Highway 34. Authorities say 54-year-old Jeff Smith was transported to Greater Regional Hospital in Creston.
According to the report, 57-year-old Scott Eugene Mitchell of Afton, driving a 2007 Chevy Silverado, was turning left onto Highway 34 and was struck in the rear by an eastbound 2014 Chevy Impala driven by 20-year-old Kaden Lee Briggs.
The Impala went down the south ditch and struck a utility pole.
