(Atlantic) What started as a free Thanksgiving meal for eight families became a community event. Mistie and Kristen Holaday, of Holaday Baking Company hosted the event at the Cass County Community Center on Thursday.
Mistie Holaday said one year ago, they served a free Thanksgiving meal to 350 people, and this year, the goal was around 400-450, including about 175 delivered meals.
Holaday says they will do this again next year, and all the food is made from scratch.
Holaday says around 70 volunteers were helping with the event.
