(Des Moines, IA) — A man and woman in their 70’s are the victims in a fatal Des Moines area car crash last night.
Des Moines Police say preliminary investigations into the crash at E. 27th Street and E. University Avenue indicate an 18-year-old, driving at high speeds, T-boned the pair as they were making a left turn at the intersection. It happened around 8 p.m. Sunday. Investigators say a 76-year-old man was behind the wheel of the Buick that got hit.
The Des Moines Police Traffic Unit is continuing the technical investigation and more information will be released when it’s available.
