Bette G. Alff, the daughter of Gordon and Ruth (Algire) Alff, was born May 15, 1944, in Nashville, TN. Bette died October 27, 2023, at the Josie Harper Hospice House, in Omaha, NE, at the age of 79 years, 5 months, and 12, days.
Bette grew up in California before settling in Omaha, NE. She graduated from Westside High School in 1962, and then continued her education at UNO. While at UNO, she met the love of her life Duane L. Alff. They were united in marriage on September 4, 1964. Bette and Duane resided in Omaha, NE, Norfolk, VA, Quonset Point, RI, Council Bluffs, IA, Griswold, IA, and Oakland, IA, before moving to the farm between Oakland and Carson. Bette worked mainly in the insurance industry along with various other jobs.
Bette enjoyed sewing, crafting, working in her flower gardens, quilting, and spending time with her family and friends.
Bette is preceded in death by her parents, and her brother.
Bette is survived by her husband of 59 years, Duane; her children: Sean and fiancé Liz, Brian and fiancé Tami, and Candy and husband Richard; 9 grandchildren; 7 step grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and her beloved dog Sam. Bette is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
There will be no services at this time. Rieken Vieth Funeral Home in Oakland is assisting the family.
