(Anita, IA) – The CAM cross-country team hosted the Cougars Fun Run and Walk yesterday in support of the Cougars homecoming week. Runners ranged in age from 10 and under to 40 and over for the event. The course was more than tough but was a great mix of what it is like to be in a high school cross-country race. This event was not just planned in one loop, but in multiple loops due to cross-country Head Coach Deb Brown and Bev Johnson. Both planned the course for the runners in the event to give everybody the best experience in the fun run.
This event could not have been done alone as Coach Brown would like to thank her cross-country team and volunteers who made the event possible. The runners were cheering the whole way and were more than supportive across the board.
Both Zach Collins and Austin West participated in the event earning first and second place in the 19-30-year-old men’s group. Coach Deb Brown was more than pleased with the turnout for the event with 44 total runners and the community coming together to support the CAM cross-country team.
KSOM and KS95 would like to thank Coach Brown and her team for the invite and wish them the best of luck for the remainder of the season! You can find the results and photos of the Fun Run and Walk below.
