Leslie Kay Schueman, the daughter of Aril and Beverly (Landon) Hudman, was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on May 8, 1952. She died September 19, 2023, in Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of 71 years, 4 months and 11 days.
Les moved to San Diego, CA, where she graduated from Madison High School in 1969. After graduating, Les moved to Oakland, IA. On June 26, 1985, she was united in marriage to Mark “Moose” Schueman in Las Vegas, NV. She worked at the Oakland Beef Plant, Schueman Trucking, Omaha Standard, and TiNik in Oakland, before retiring.
Les enjoyed singing, dancing, bowling, golfing, playing slow pitch softball, and archery. She liked traveling to Las Vegas and Denver Bronco’s games, working in her flower beds, and being outside. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Les is preceded in death by her parents; her sister Sherry; her sister-in-law Joanie; and her parents-in-law, George and Donna Rae.
She is survived by her husband Mark “Moose” Schueman of Hancock, IA; her daughters, Niki Ford and husband Kevin of Oakland, IA, and Stacie Schueman of Omaha, NE; her grandchildren: Lacie Patterson and husband Brock, Tanner Ford, Kenna Rae Ford, and Noah Kinnison; her great grandchildren Kasyn Kay and Kya Patterson; her brother-in-law Rod Schueman and wife Teresa of Oakland, IA; and her favorite dog Hank. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life visitation will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023, from 2-4 PM, at the Oakland Community Building in Oakland. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Leslie’s name. Rieken Vieth Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
