(Creston) A 15-year-old driver is cited in a two-vehicle accident in Creston.
Police say the accident happened on Sunday, August 27, at 7:15 p.m. at Highway 34 and Sumner Avenue. The 15-year-old male driver from Lenox was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way on a left turn and was given a warning for violating the terms of his instructional permit. Because he didn’t have an adult with him at the time of the crash, the driver’s father and the passenger’s mother came to the scene.
According to the report, the Juvenile, driving a 2011 Nissan Maxima, turned left in front of oncoming traffic and was struck on the front passenger side by a 2013 Volkswagen Passat driven by 45-year-old Jeffrey Alan Adams of Leon.
During the initial investigation, it was said no one was injured. However, Police have since learned Adams and his passenger drove themselves to the Greater Regional Medical Center to be checked out.
