(Council Bluffs) A homicide suspect from Omaha was apprehended in Council Bluffs.
The Council Bluffs Police Department says at 5:27 p.m. Thursday, officers were advised that a homicide suspect was heading into Council Bluffs. Officers were able to track the suspect’s vehicle to the Lake Manawa area where a perimeter was set. Omaha Police helicopter Able One helped direct officers to a possible location of the suspect. Officers then used a Police K9 to track the suspects location. The suspect was taken into custody without injury.
Officers from the Council Bluffs Police Department, Pottawattamie County Sheriff’s Office, the Iowa State Patrol, Iowa Department of Natural Resources and Omaha Police Department worked together to take the suspect into custody. This is an active investigation in Omaha and names are not available at this time.
