(Red Oak) A Grant, Iowa, woman faces animal neglect charges in Montgomery County.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office received an anonymous tip of possible animal neglect in the 200 block of Maple Street in Grant. During the investigation, officers determined that two dogs and one cat had inadequate access to food, water, or proper hygiene. The three animals were released to Animal Alliance in Red Oak.
Deputies transported 25-year-old Shelby Woods, the animals owner, to the Montgomery County Jail on three counts of animal neglect. She was held on a $300.00 bond.
