Ames Fire Caused From Equipment Malfunction

(Ames, IA) The Ames Fire Department says an equipment malfunction caused the fire at the Iowa State University’s Power Plant yesterday.  The fire started around 10:45 a.m.  The crews say the equipment had a complete failure, which then ignited the operating oil connected to it.  The fire was put out about an hour later.  No one was reported injured.
