(Pottawattamie Co) Snyder & Associates gave a presentation to the Pottawattamie County Board of Supervisors Tuesday morning on their proposed inspection role for the CO2 pipeline project.
Summit Carbons Solutions’ proposed pipeline would go through the eastern portion of Pottawattamie County.
Mike Geier with Snyder and Associates explained what their role in this process would be…
Kristina Paradise, Project Manager with Snyder and Associates for Pipeline Inspection Services, explained that they inspect to the county’s agreement with the pipeline company and hold them to that. She said they have to set up their filing structure and IUB recommends one file per parcel of land, which Paradise said will be a tedious process.
Paradise also reviewed the notice of violation process.
Paradise then spoke about the scope of work, inspection and reporting, invoicing and payment, among other items.
The Supervisors have not approved an agreement with Snyder & Associates or any other agency for inspection services at this time.
Meanwhile, the Iowa Utilities Board will begin the Summit Carbon Solution Permit hearing process in Fort Dodge beginning August 22nd. Paradise said that hearing process could last six to eight weeks.
