(Red Oak) The Red Oak and Montgomery County First Responders will host National Night Out on August 1st.
Amber Jennings, Community Relations Liaison with the Red Oak Police Department, said this is the 40th year of the National event, and the 7th year in Red Oak.
The National Night Out is being held in the Fountain Square Park in Red Oak from 6:00-8:00 pm on August 1st. Currently, there are over 90 total partners for this event, including several new displays.
The theme of the evening is Public Safety – Safety of the Public. The safety of the public aspect will focus on Fire Safety, Farm Safety, and Health-Related. The national theme is to take back the night, take back our neighborhoods and communities.
The event is free for all participants. The square area and one block in each direction will be shut down at 4:00 pm to allow for set up and all of the partners to get prepared for the night. To show a sign of support, turn on your porch light for the evening.
