(Red Oak) Red Oak Police responded to a car-semi accident on Thursday.
Police say the accident happened at 5:44 p.m. at the intersection of S. Broadway and W. Market Streets.
According to the report, 92-year-old Wallace Keith Jones, of Red Oak, driving a 1992 Ford Tempo, stopped at the intersection, did not see the semi, pulled into the intersection, and was struck by a 2006 Freightliner, driven by 48-year-old David Lee Rydberg of Essex.
Medics checked Rydberg and Jones at the scene, and both refused medical treatment. Police issued a written warning to Jones for failing to yield to a passing vehicle.
The Tempo is a total loss. The semi received an estimated $2,000 in damage.
