(Griswold) The Griswold School Board discussed the proposed four-day school week at Monday’s meeting. In June, the administration conducted an all-staff meeting asking for input.
Schools Superintendent Dave Henrichs says the staff needed several questions answered before they could provide an opinion on the change from five classroom days to four. Additionally, they met with the district’s Labor Management Committee.
Some of the changes were fewer contract days for teachers but did not impact instructional time, drafting a survey for the board to review, and reassessing staff members’ thoughts on moving to a four-day school week.
The Griswold School Board also reappointed Dan Rold as District Business Manager/Treasurer, Hannah Bierbaum as Board Secretary, and appointed Matt Hanson as the School District’s Attorney.
Dave Henrichs says the critical teaching positions are filled, including a K-12 Guidance Counselor.
