(Audubon) Audubon Schools Superintendent Eric Trager says the building project is on budget, and plans are to start classes on time on August 23. Trager is confident the project will finish on budget; however, the issue is the timing of completion.
Trager says there has been a labor shortage all summer, and the people working in the buildings have done well. Trager will know about the school start date next week.
Trager says construction work is complete on the upstairs; the downstairs has a way to go.
In the spring of 2020, Audubon School District Patrons passed a $7.5 million bond issue to remodel, repair, and improve the Middle School and High School Buildings. The construction project began in 2022.
